Lockdown Sales

Looking back over the last few weeks to the items that just kept selling throughout the lockdown.

It’s a difficult and challenging time for everyone at the minute. Unable to see loved ones, intense difficult and sometimes dangerous places of work. To add to it all the measures that are in place to keep us safe are going to impact us in the future economically. It is very difficult to have any clear answers or any clear path to follow, but we will carry on and that’s what we plan to do here in Spratt Fireplaces. In this blog I decided to take a look back throughout the lock down and look at our online sales. See what our customers are buying and what is important to them throughout this difficult period. For some the lock down may have forced them into situations they wouldn’t normally tackle without the help of a professional. For others it was about making the best of pretty bad situation

Kamado BBQs

With only one Kamado BBQ left we have seen a massive increase in sales in BBQs and our outdoor products in general on this time last year. The good weather also being a factor in the decision making but making the most of your outdoor space is paramount in peoples decision making process. Having the opportunity to get outside, use your outdoor space available to you and have the family together around the BBQ was a big draw for a lot of our customers who craved normality in these very abnormal times.

Chimney Typhoon  

Social distancing is proving difficult for everyone but It also throws up an issue of calling a professional to sweep your chimney. You may have an underlying condition or your local chimney sweep may not be operating. The chimney typhoon solved this issue for a lot of customers.  A series of flexible rods that can be attached to a standard cordless drill. It can be operated from ground level and clean your chimney without having anyone in your home.

Spray Paint  

Our Calfire spray paint has been flying out the door the last few weeks. Sitting in your living room right next to your tv, is your stove. After scrolling endlessly through Netflix to find another film to watch it catches your eye and bang the seed it planted. You’ve decided to be brave whip the masking tape out, sand it down and spray the stove a whole new colour! Its not just stoves we have also had a few customers painting fire pits that have rusted in the garden and they wanted to touch them up for the summer ahead. Calfire heat resistant spray paint is €16.00 and can be bought in a wide variety of colours.
