Porcelain slabs are large-format, sintered ceramic surfaces made from natural raw materials like clay, quartz, and feldspar. These materials are compacted under high pressure and fired at very high temperatures (over 1200°C), resulting in an extremely dense, durable material.
Both Infinity and Dekton can withstand extreme temperatures without cracking, discolouring, or degrading—making them ideal for use around wood-burning stoves, gas fires, or electric fires.
Unlike natural stone, porcelain does not require expansion joints in hearth applications. This means it can be installed as a single slab, offering a clean, seamless appearance.
Extremely hard-wearing and resistant to scratching, even from logs or stove feet.
